As a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I bring more than 30 years of healthcare experience to my practice. Throughout my career, I have cared for patients across a wide range of clinical settings, including primary care, neurology, cardiology, outpatient clinics, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities. While these diverse experiences shaped my clinical expertise, I ultimately found my true calling in psychiatry, where I am passionate about helping individuals achieve lasting emotional wellness.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I served in numerous leadership, education, and mentorship roles, including precepting nurses and nurse practitioner students, delivering educational presentations, serving on hospital committees, and supporting professional development within healthcare organizations. Today, I continue mentoring and precepting nurse practitioners, helping shape the next generation of compassionate mental health providers.
My approach is rooted in a holistic, patient-centered philosophy that recognizes the powerful connection between mental and physical health. I believe effective psychiatric care extends beyond symptom management. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and PTSD using evidence-based psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, mindfulness, and lifestyle strategies to create personalized treatment plans that support the whole person.
I believe healing begins with a safe, compassionate environment where every individual feels heard, respected, and understood. My goal is to empower patients to rediscover their strengths, restore balance between mind and body, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and hope.
I am proud to serve individuals and families in Tinley Park and communities throughout Illinois, providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care tailored to each person’s unique needs.
