Hi, I’m Arooj! I provide support to individuals navigating life’s many challenges, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. I recognize that these struggles can affect anyone and often come with layers of emotional, social, and cultural complexity. My role is to meet you with empathy and understanding, creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and respected throughout your healing journey. As a therapist, I aim to meet you with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep commitment to your well-being. My approach is trauma-informed and holistic, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic principles to create a path that’s tailored to your unique needs and goals.
I hold a Master’s in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University Chicago and have extensive experience working with diverse and underserved communities. In our work together, you’ll find a safe, non-judgmental space where your experiences are honored and your voice is heard.
My goal is to support you in gaining insight, building resilience, and finding alignment between your values and your life. Whether you’re navigating personal struggles or cultural identity, I’m here to walk alongside you as you create meaningful and lasting change.
